ALEJANDRO BRITTES TRIO
A SHOW TO CONNECT with the ancestral matrices of CHAMAMÉ.
The Alejandro Brittes Trio presents a concert that unites sophistication and emotion, with a repertoire that moves between authorial compositions and Chamamé classics, such as the emblematic "Km 11" e "Merceditas" — true anthems of the Latin American soul.
Alongside André Ely (seven-string guitar) and Carlos de Césaro (double bass), Alejandro leads the audience on a deep musical journey, marked by interpretive intensity and by the lightness of the melodies that echo the heart of South America.
The trio creates a vibrant and sensitive atmosphere, where the virtuosity allies with the human gesture and with live improvisation. The result is a unique experience, in which Chamamé ceases to be just rhythm and transforms into encounter, landscape and identity.
CONCERT (L)ESTE
Alejandro Brittes and Baroque Orchestra
CONCERT (L)ESTE proposes a true historical and sensory journey. It is a crossover between Chamamé in its metaphysical dimension and baroque music, through authorial compositions by Alejandro Brittes, with arrangements signed by him and by the harpsichordist Fernando Cordella, one of the main baroque conductors of today.
This sound encounter is not limited to harmonies and melodies: it extends to the very instrumental formation of the concert, uniting typical instruments of European baroque — such as viola da gamba, baroque violin, cello, oboe and harpsichord — with traditional Latin American instruments such as accordion, seven-string guitar, double bass and percussion.
Alejandro's intention with this concert is to invite the public to discover a new facet of Chamamé — an artistic gesture that is, at the same time, rescue of its roots and creative projection of its future, interweaving his popular baggage and classical training.
Alejandro's intention, with the Concert, is to provide the public with the discovery of a new facet of Chamamé; which at the same time is rescue, and presents recent creations by the artist, where he inserts his popular and classical musical baggage.
Alejandro Brittes with Baroque Orchestra performed on the stages: Festival Internacional de Música SESC|RS, Theatro São Pedro|RS, Teatro Simões Lopes Neto|RS, Ruínas de São Miguel das Missões|RS, Igreja Matriz de Nova Prata|RS, Catedral Angelopolitana de Santo Ângelo|RS.
WEB DOC (L)ESTE
The WEBDOC (L)ESTE is an audiovisual record that reveals the behind the scenes and creative essence of the homonymous album by Alejandro Brittes. Divided into three episodes, the documentary follows the recording process of the ninth authorial album of the accordionist, offering the public a sensitive and revealing immersion in his artistic language.
More than a making of, the Webdoc presents unseen scenes from the studio sessions, in addition to spontaneous testimonies from the musicians and collaborators involved. Each episode sheds light on the musical construction, the encounters, the challenges and the aesthetic choices that shaped the project.
A work for those who wish to listen with their eyes and understand Chamamé not just as rhythm — but as a rhythm of connection and transcendence.
THE CONCERTS
Alejandro navigates with his accordion, playing with the temporal universe of his music. He uses gravity awakening the sensation that the music can touch your skin.
A strange perception, that the music floats, and when listening to it, you enter a bubble and everything can happen beside you, without you noticing.
His concerts establish a connection with the earth, with the origins of the music of his region and with the universe, in a primordial verticality. His trademark is using the accordion as if it were a bandoneón, in a conversation between the keyboard and the basses, making the instrument be used in its highest performance.
The basses are explored magisterially, since for Alejandro, they connect us with the earth, while the button keyboard, besides giving melody to the music, elevates us to the Universe.
